Muse Christmas Visions

Hi there!
Time for another (hopefully inspirational) installment from the
Muse: Christmas Visions team and it is my pleasure to share this card!

I am using two sweet stamp sets from Flora & Fauna today, "Holiday Watercolor" and "Winter Aviary".   I attempted some "random" stamping and here are the results.  For the image stampings, I used distress oxide inks and the black is Memento Tuxedo black.  The berries have a coating of Wink of Stella but a little difficult to see from the photo.

This is a perfect time to start/continue with your Christmas cards!  I made 24 of these!

I hope to see you in the MCV gallery.

Thanks for peeking in today and I hope that I have shared some inspiration :)Chriss

New Twofer challenge !

Hi and Happy New year!

There's a new challenge in bogland that I just had to give a go.  The lovely Darnell of DJ Card Kreations is the hostess with the mostest and check out the incredibly talented design team!  Go to the Twofer challenge to check out the guidelines and start making "twice" the amount of cards...here is my twofer using the pretty PTI stamp set Feather Finery.
White heat embossing for the Mothers Day card and also using another PTI set called Botanical Letters.  (I have since added a white center to the flowers and I think they look better!)
For the sympathy card, I stamped the feather in Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and used a fine paintbrush to spread the color a little.  The sentiment is an older  one from a Stampin Up set.

Thanks for taking a peek and enjoy your day!

Cute Penguin Tag

Welcome to Muse: Christmas Visions installment for
Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags!

Here is my tag with the theme of snow...and in my case, a snowflake background for this cute penguin!

I used the Hero arts Stamp 'n Cut penguin set and he is covered with Wink of Stella.  The back ground flakes are an older Spellbinders Impressabilities metal stencil, liberally coated in Versamark that I ran over my SSS Sea Glass card stock in my Big Shot.  I then sprinkled on the Hero Arts PUFF embossing powder and heat set.  The edges of the tag were edged with Versamark and dipped into black embossing powder and heat set.  A narrow checkered ribbon and some jingle bells finish this tag off.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Celebrate Hope

Hello and happy WCMD 2017!

I have a card!

Can you see the sparkle?  It is so hard to capture the shimmer in a photo, but it is very shimmery in person.
I am playing with my Distress Oxide inks today and dabbed onto an acrylic block, sprayed water over, dabbed my Arches w/c panel here and there a few times and repeated.  I used Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple & Worn Lipstick.
When completely dry, I then gold embossed (WOW pale rich gold) my new SSS Fractile Leaves onto the treated panel.
Next up was to take my damp paint brush to the centre of the leaves to spread/fill in the color and finally,  Wink of Stella did her magic!

I am submitting to the current Time Out challenge for breast cancer awareness/friendship.  You really need to check out the fabulous cards that the team have shared!  Casual Fridays stamps is offering up a prize if you use CF product...I did not use, but was so inspired by the DT cards, just had to create one, too!

Have a great weekend!

A Furry Christmas

Welcome to another edition of the
Muse:Christmas Visions card club challenge

I am a little out of my comfort zone this time around with my themed critters from Furry Christmas by Simon Says Stamp.  They are adorable and I decided to stamp them in SSS intense black ink and coloredwith my Copic markers.
I made a mask and covered them prior to coloring and used Salty Ocean and Broken China distress oxide inks to make the background.  Some water splattering on the background and let dry thoroughly.

Next, I stamped some small snowflake images and heat embossed using a Hero Arts White Puff EP.  Love the snow texture results from this EP!  The hat band, pom pom and slope that the critters are sitting on were dabbed with a versa mark pen and heat embossed using the same EP.  I decided to add a black frame.  What do you think?

Sentiment treatment is using the same EP.
I am in the process of making 12 of these...are you on track for making your Christmas cards?

Thanks for taking a peek and I look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Muse Christmas Visions inspiration

Creating cards every week of the year!

Here is a card that I made for the current
Cornelia provided not one, but four inspirational cards for us!

Here they are,

Its probably not too hard for you to figure out which card I was heavily influenced by...
those colors and the fun, whimsical elf really tugged at my heart!  I don't have an elf image, but I thought this little tree from a Memory Box set was equally fun!  Have you had time to play along yet?  There is still lots of time, as it is a month long challenge.

Thanks so much for peeking in!

Muse Christmas Visions meets pastel colors

Hello and welcome to the  81st installment of Muse: Christmas Visions!

I am really working diligently on Christmas cards this summer and this is one of 16 that I made.  It was very easy with my MISTI and the adorable Plus 9 "Holiday Houses" stamp set.  All stamping!

I first stamped all of my trees and houses onto fun foam and cut out to use for the "coloring" step in making my cards so that I could flip them over and press them into my various colors of ink pads.

The way that I arranged my stamps on my MISTI was as seen on my card from the lavender house to the trio of trees (covering half of the card front).  After stamping all of this part of my card fronts, I simply rotated my card fronts 180 degrees to stamp out the other half of the card front using black ink.  I then adhered my cut out foam stamps to an acrylic block and individually stamped the color over the stamped image.  Easy Peasy!  The sentiment is an older one from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for peeking in and I hope to see you in the MCV gallery with your creations!

MCV birdies branches and snowflakes

Hi and Welcome!

I have a card for the Muse: Christmas Visions card challenge hosted by Kimberly this month!  Here is Kimberly's card.  Don't you love this color combo and arrangement!

Here is my card that I created with a Penny Black stamp that I heat embossed onto some Bristol card and colored with my Zig markers.  I was really inspired by Kimberly's card elements.  The pair of birds, wreath (my circular opening and leafy branches) and the pops of colours all played out in my card from Kimberly's challenge card.  I changed the intensity of colours for my image and I used a PTI Tropical Teal card panel for my card front.  I am making 6 of these for my stash.  That's a lower amount than I would normally make of a design.  I usually make a dozen at a time, but I have a few more NBUS stamps that I want to play with.

Inspired?
How about joining this challenge and adding to your Christmas card stash!   You can add your card over at the MCV page here.

Thanks for taking a peek and I hope to see you over in the gallery!
